We now offer a limited quantity of Honduran Rosewood (Dalbergia stevensonii) as a material option. This wood was recovered in Florida in 2022 in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian and rescued from being sent to the landfill. All Dalbergia species, including Honduran Rosewood, are listed under the genus-wide restriction in CITES appendix II — which also includes finished products made of the wood, although finished items under 10 kilograms are exempted. We only ship Rosewood products currently within the USA.
In the video, we show a set of four “Heart” model violin pegs in Honduran Rosewood. Offered in limited quantities, this variety of our “Heart” pegs will become unavailable once we have worked through our currently available wood.
